Reviews are difficult things for authors. They can be really uplifting, and they can be totally soul crushing.

Neil Gaiman says that reviews are for readers, not authors. To just get on with making art.

Still, when you get one that starts with, “Wow. Now that’s how you write a book.” You can’t help but get a little giddy.
